Trace Adkins' latest feature film, I Can Only Imagine, opens in theaters across the country on Friday (March 16th). His role wasn't too much of a leap for Trace, but he tells us this part was a welcome first. “I play Scott Brickell, who was and is the manager for MercyMe, and it’s a movie about Bart Miller, one of the founding members of MercyMe and he wrote ‘I Can Only Imagine,’ which was a huge hit in the Christian Contemporary world and I play their manager, which this is the first time that I’ve played anything that wasn’t either a biker or a cowboy, so (laughs), but it wasn’t a huge stretch, you know, because it’s something pertaining to the music business so it felt comfortable.”

I Can Only Imagine also stars Dennis Quaid.
